What 50 KB is enough for

At 50 KB a head-and-shoulders photo of around 400–600 pixels wide can still look clean. Full-width landscape photos will be scaled down more. If the form states exact dimensions, enter them in the optional max size fields so the tool spends the size budget on the right resolution.

Checklist for photo uploads

  • Face the camera in even light with a plain, light background.
  • Crop so your head and shoulders fill most of the frame.
  • Check the form's rules on background colour and dimensions – this tool only changes file size and pixel size.
